Cofely Besix facility management (CBFM), the region’s leading integrated facilities management company, has recently been accredited as a British Institute of Cleaning Science Training Centre.
The British Institute of Cleaning Science (BICSc) is the largest independent, professional and educational body within the international cleaning industry with over 10,000 individual and corporate members in the UK and around the world.
Cofely Besix’s services manager and three cleaning supervisors received intensive training from the prestigious institute, and had to demonstrate both theoretical and practical competence of the BICSc processes and standards. This was followed by a rigorous two-day assessment carried out by a BICSc International Assessor.
“As a company, we take our responsibilities to service standards and the environment very seriously,” explains Ian Harfield, General Manager of Cofely Besix facility management.
“It is an important step to have an accredited standard to measure and demonstrate the high standard of our work, and the cleaning service industry is certainly one of the most talked about areas of the FM industry, mainly because of the lack of control and poor quality in service delivery.”
“Being a BICSc accredited company as well as offering training to the industry, means that customers will know that they are buying a service that is well managed to deliver high standards, as well as being environmentally sound, therefore leading to greater customer satisfaction,” added Harfield.
“We are very proud of our team for receiving the accreditation, and are very pleased that our clients will benefit from the new comprehensive cleaning methods and techniques knowing these comply with to BICSc standards and ‘best in class practice’ guidelines,” concluded Harfield.
